The Portland Sea Dogs Ticket Department is the heart of our operation and vital to the team’s financial success. As the first point of contact for fans each day, the ticket department sets the tone by providing outstanding customer service and solving any problems.
Position Overview
The Ticket Operations Associate will play a key role in fan interactions, assisting Season Ticket Holders, Corporate Partners, and walk-up customers. This part-time position for the 2025 season focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, guiding fans through ticket-buying, and ensuring they have the best possible experience. The role also involves collaborating with the ticket department to complete tasks that contribute to the overall success of the team.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Provide world-class customer service, including troubleshooting and resolving ticket-related issues with professionalism and patience.
- Sales: Sell and coordinate group tickets, ticket plans, and hospitality events through cold calling, community appearances, and door-to-door sales.
- Operations Support:
- Assist with daily ticket office operations, including system updates, bulk printing, ticket mailings, merchandise shipments, and voucher redemption tracking.
- Support reporting and data input, including daily sales and group reports.
- Communications:
- Assist with communication for season ticket holders, partial packages, group tickets, and promotions.
- Print and mail daily web orders, invoices, and ticket packages.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work with the Director of Ticketing on ticket packages, promotions, and voucher programs.
- Assist in hiring, training, and managing game day ticket office staff.
- Provide operations support for Ticket Sales and Corporate Sales departments.
- Event Representation:
- Attend community events to promote the Portland Sea Dogs and generate new business opportunities.
- Software Management: Learn and utilize ticketing systems, CRM software, and other team tools.
- General Duties: Follow ticket office procedures, including opening and closing tasks, and assist with other responsibilities as assigned by the Sea Dogs Front Office.
