The Patroller is an essential Woodward Park City Health and Safety team member, reporting to the Woodward Park City Health and Safety Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for guest service, administering first aid and handling incidents around the Woodward Park City facility, maintaining trails to mitigate hazards, promoting and creating a safe environment for guests and employees, participating in lift evacuation, and performing opening and closing procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The WWPC patroller will be a medical professional who provides excellent all-season care on the mountain and in the Action Sports Hub. The patroller will be responsible for the duties below and will also be assigned various tasks.
- Assisting with and providing patient care for all indoor and outdoor activities (Skiing, snowboarding, tubing, mountain biking, skateboarding, scooter, in-line skating, BMX, parkour.
- Promoting employee and guest safety.
- Transporting and setting up mountain safety supplies and equipment.
- Performing opening and closing procedures.
- Perform chairlift evacuation.
- Provide safe patient transportation.
- Cross-training and assisting in daily dispatch duties.
- Adapting to a rapidly changing environment and developing new skills as needed.
- Maintaining a positive and supportive attitude that promotes teamwork among the Health & Safety team and other departments.
- Participate in regular training within Health and Safety and cross-training with other departments.
- Provide excellent guest service regardless of the situation.
Basic Requirements
- Must be an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) and CPR certified before employment.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must successfully complete a background check before employment.
- Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Must be able to operate equipment, including ski, snowboard, and/or mountain bike.
- Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills and follow and provide directions.
- Must be able to negotiate terrain in and around Woodward Park City safely. All applicants must ski or snowboard and mountain bike.
- Must safely assess and negotiate all-season terrain and action sports hub environments.
- Must have the ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Ski Patrol/Bike Patrol experience is preferred.
- A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to assist teams in achieving goals.
Full Time Year Round opportunity available after the successful completion of the first season.
