Are you a seasoned Business Analyst with a passion for improving outcomes through technology? We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support multiple projects in a hybrid work environment. This role is essential in bridging the gap between stakeholders and software development teams, ensuring that requirements are well-defined, documented, and executed efficiently.
Location: Hybrid – Austin, TX (80% Remote, Onsite as Needed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, ensuring clarity and completeness
- Define system requirements, user stories, and use cases that align with business objectives
- Lead process re-engineering initiatives to improve software workflows and efficiency
- Collaborate with UX designers to create wireframes and mockups following industry best practices
- Ensure compliance with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and business analysis best practices
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Contribute to post-implementation enhancements and system optimization efforts
Skills &Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in eliciting business requirements and creating well-documented system specifications
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Expertise in business process re-engineering and software workflow improvement
- Ability to develop detailed user stories, use cases, and wireframes
- Excellent communication, facilitation, writing, and organizational skills
- Experience with Modern Requirements for requirements management
- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for issue tracking
- Previous experience working with state or local education agencies
- Knowledge of Texas education applications such as FSP, TSDS, and TEA Help Desk
