What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Pryor Health Plastic Surgery and Med Spa?

The is a highly visible position, so the ideal candidate maintains a professional appearance and presents a friendly personality. General duties include answering phone calls, making appointments, checking in and checking out patients, and inputting/updating medical records. Qualified applicants must have excellent customer service skills, good computer skills, and previous experience as a receptionist. There are lots of medical procedures to learn, so we need someone with self-motivation in this fast-paced environment.

It is the responsibility of the receptionist to be engaged in patient care, dedicated to the effective functioning of the medical facility, and adaptable to changes in the facility protocol or physician needs.

Candidates with esthetics experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or better.
  • This person must be flexible, positive, and friendly
  • We require a team player who has an excellent attendance record
  • This job requires a lot of multitasking, so we need someone who can learn quickly and adapt to changing workloads
  • Qualified applicants must have excellent customer service skills, good computer skills, and previous experience as a receptionist
  • There are lots of medical procedures to learn, so we need someone with self-motivation in this fast-paced environment
  • Requires 2 years of experience in customer service
  • Knowledge of Nextech medical software is a plus.
  • Strong keyboarding skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Must be meticulous and accurate when working with patient data
  • Possess solid customer service skills with a friendly personality
  • Have professional phone manner and strong verbal communication skills
  • For patient communications, must be able to write well without grammatical or spelling errors
  • Project professional appearance and have high grooming standards
  • Must be reliable and not have unauthorized absences or tardiness
  • Positive work references required
  • All professional references are checked

Responsibilities

  • General duties include answering phone calls, making appointments, checking in and checking out patients, and inputting/updating medical records
  • It is the responsibility of the receptionist to be engaged in patient care, dedicated to the effective functioning of the medical facility, and adaptable to changes in the facility protocol or physician needs
  • Retail Product sales
  • Reminder calls to patients as needed
  • Answering phones, scheduling patients, and responding to inquiries
  • Greeting and checking in patients, and inputting/updating patient paperwork
  • Explaining procedures and products to patients
  • Checking out patients, processing sales, and making appointments across divisions as needed
  • Scanning patient charts into an EMR
  • No Show call backs
  • Patient experience reviews maintenance
  • Maintaining the reception area
  • Assisting the clinical staff when necessary
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Must protect patient confidentiality
  • Hours of operation are M,T,W,TH 9:00-6:00, rotating schedule for Friday's.
  • Hourly compensation $17 - $20/ hour commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
