The Associate Principal is an integral member of the building and district leadership team. In this capacity, the Associate Principal is expected to be familiar with current trends in secondary education and to work with the principal, other associate principal(s), guiding coalitions, school-wide intervention team (SIT) team and content leaders, teacher teams to study, evaluate, and implement innovative programs which provide high levels of learning for all students. As a team member, the Associate Principal works collaboratively with all persons toward creating a learning environment that is safe, effective, relevant, and rigorous. Qualifications: *Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction License Code 5051, K-12 Principal with Masters Degree in Educational Leadership or related field.At least five years of experience in teaching and/or supervision (preferred high school experience) with strong leadership in adolescent literacy, curriculum, instruction and assessment. *Experience in leading Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and building teacher collective efficacy through a focus on learning, building collaborative cultures and a focus on results *A commitment to children with diverse abilities, needs and interests and a student-centered focus for all students at high levels of learning for all *Demonstrated leadership and ability to work effectively with groups and individuals. *Ability to apply sound educational practices and evidence-based research, which creates a vision for the school and community *Evidence of being able to creatively solve problems and make sound decisions. *Current First Aid/CPR certified or willing to obtain *Demonstrated ability to: work collaboratively carry out emergency/crisis response procedures perform all computer technology tasks associated with the position maintain confidentiality communicate positively/effectively with students, parents, staff, patrons *Commitment to the Pulaski Board of Education Educational Philosophy *Demonstrated skills in positive human relations and cultural competence *Demonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict management
