We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper and Financial Reporting Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing ledgers, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: Maintain and manage all bookkeeping activities. This includes recording day-to-day financial transactions, managing the general ledger, and reconciling bank statements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial data and provide insights on financial status.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Maintain accurate records for all transactions.
- Payroll Assistance: Assist in payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in calculations and adherence to payroll deadlines.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Monitor budget variances and report significant discrepancies to management.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in tax preparation and filing activities. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Audit Support: Provide assistance during internal and external audits. Ensure the availability of necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven bookkeeping and financial reporting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks and PayChex Payroll).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
