What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at St. Paul United Church of Christ?
We are searching for an individual who has prior experience in bookkeeping/accounting, strong communication skills, and the ability to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Track and pay monthly bills; reconcile accounts
- Payroll processing and withholding taxes
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, including monthly cash flow forecasts
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
- Knowledge of financial statements, reports, and how they affect each other
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Google applications.
- Ownership of personal computer with internet access for home-based work
Experience:
- QuickBooks: 1 years
- Microsoft Excel: 2 years
- Google Docs: 1 years
- Experience with small businesses is preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 6 per week
