What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher - Night Shift Transportation and Logistics position at Quality Logistics Inc?
SUMMARY:
Quality Logistic, Inc, is based out of Duncan, SC, we are looking to hire a Driver Dispatcher and Logistics Coordinator for our 3rd shift dispatch operations. The hours are Sunday-Thursday night, 9:00pm-6:00am. You will be required to work one weekend every 6 weeks for which you will be compensated, separately. The 3rd shift dispatcher is responsible for tracking, dispatching, load planning and customer service. We dispatch 200 tractor/trailers hauling general commodities to 48 states and Canada and are looking for an experienced and confident person, one who is independent and is not afraid to make decisions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- You will work with the Operations Management as well as the rest of the dispatch team to monitor assigned drivers/equipment and implement customer plans, routes, schedules, and to pick up or deliver freight as well as making appointment times.
- You will be responsible for the efficient and timely entry of all company and customer related data into the company transportation software and/or related portal/software in the transportation department.
- This position works closely with Carriers and assists the Load Planners to ensure that the customer’s needs are being met including the communication of essential pick-up and delivery information to the customer, carriers, and drivers.
- You will update key transportation software database files with customer, EDI, TMS, carrier Portals, vehicle, and driver information.
- This position is responsible for the planning and dispatching of all customer freight, ensuring timely delivery.
- Reporting of all accidents and incidents regarding driver injury, equipment, and driver safety concerns to the Driver Supervisor and Safety Director.
- Ensures all department required forms and documents are completed in a timely manner.
- You will be responsible for the management of driver accountability as it relates to DOT compliance, CTPAT compliance, equipment usage, company policies and the discipline of the same.
- Responsible for monitoring and obtaining KPI and Productivity goals as established by the Dispatch Operations Management.

- Minimum of two years in a dispatch or load planning position.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and independent
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A working knowledge of transportation software i.e. TMS/Trimble TMW Suite, Rand McNally, PCMiler etc..
- Comfortable migrating through Microsoft Office products software i.e. Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Knowledge in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and related driver’s Hours of Service
- Able to work comfortably in a high energy environment.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
