Staff Accountant Job Description

• Review and approve expense reports for accuracy within expense report guidelines.
• Reconciling, coding, and processing monthly credit card statements.
• Review and approve expense reports for accuracy.
• Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month end close tasks.
• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
• Analyze financials to understand when accruals are necessary monthly.
• Obtain approvals and accurate coding of invoices.
• Ensure processes and controls are compliant with rules and regulations.
• Assist with ongoing efforts to automate or improve process workflows.
• Assist with inquiries from internal and external auditors.
• Duties and Responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of accounting related experience.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
• Organized and strong time management skill
