Function
Oversees and manages the IT department, including Information Technology and Operational Technology (process control) across Rea Corporate offices and manufacturing sites. Provides strategic IT vision and leadership, implementing enterprise-class information systems to enhance control and reduce operating costs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides strategic planning, tactical execution, development, evaluation, and coordination of the IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) systems for the enterprise.
- Provides leadership for the strategic direction of Rea s ERP System, including coordination of the consultants, engagement with the user community, and promotion of best practices.
- Develops and communicates to management long and mid-range strategic plans for use of new hardware, software, and new information strategies (ERP, PDS, MES, etc.) to serve the company s future information needs. Communicates long and mid-range plans, project back log, and project status to the Leadership Team.
- Responsible for managing a staff of employees and contractors to deliver first class business applications, networks, voice and data infrastructure, telecommunications, and process data systems. Aligns business systems and capabilities with business needs, especially for aggressive growth plans.
- Develops and enforces policies and procedures to ensure protection of data, privacy, and intellectual property.
- Develops relationships with IT managers of key trading partners to foster projects that lead to the reduction of costs through the use information technology in business applications.
- Administers and controls the department s expense budget and capital plans to contribute to cost-effective operation of the corporation.
- Maintains knowledge of information technology trends, cybersecurity trends, information management strategies, and best-in-class hardware and software procedures to assure forward planning in technological applications.
- Develops and implements user training programs.
- Monitors data processing cybersecurity to assure the integrity and reliability of computerized information systems, communication systems, and office systems. Responsible for development, review, and certification of all backup and disaster recovery plans and cyber incident response plans.
Position Specifications
Bachelor s degree in information systems or engineering; MBA Preferred
Must have or ability to obtain a passport and be able to travel to Mexico and other countries as needed.
Ten (10) years of management experience in Information Technology in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of common business processes in manufacturing environment and project management exposure.
Knowledge of software, hardware, and innovative technology advances to help upgrade the company s systems as necessary.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, verbal, and written skills.
Ability to lead and manage a team located at all Rea locations and communicate effectively with the Rea Leadership Team
