We are actively hiring recreational gymnastics instructors and substitutes for our Dunkirk/Calvert County, MD location.
About our Dunkirk, MD Location - Our gym features over 5,000 sq. ft. of space dedicated to gymnastics, tumbling, birthday parties, camps, and more! Our school year session runs from September to May, with classes held primarily in the evenings and weekends. We also have summer camps and evening classes over the summer. Gymnastics instructors will teach children ages 18 months - 12 years old primarily at the beginner levels.
Hours: We are looking for a minimum of one class commitment during our school year session Sept-May. Classes run Monday-Thursday 4:30p-9p and Saturdays 8:30a-1p. Classes are generally 45-60min.
Basic Requirements
- Must hold a USAG recreational instructor membership and "green light" background check from USAG (can obtain after interviewing, reimbursable after successful completion of 3-month trial period)
- CPR / First Aid Certification (can obtain after accepting position, reimbursable after successful completion of 3-month trial period)
- Ability to reliably get to our Dunkirk, MD location which is NOT accessible by public transportation; staff are expected to be extremely reliable and punctual
- Ability to commit to a set schedule from September to May (1 hour minimum per week if not applying to be a substitute)
- Ability to lift/physically assist/spot students ages 18 months - 12 years old, move large equipment around the gym when necessary.
- Must have experience working with children. **Please list this experience on your resume when applying**
- Prior experience as a competitive gymnast or cheerleader OR experience teaching gymnastics or other children's sports OR experience working as a teacher is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. **Please list this experience on your resume when applying.**

Pay: $15.00 - $20.48 per hour
