Full-Time Training Coordinator
Salary starting at $85,572 - $90,659 with an additional 6% toward 401K
The primary responsibility for this position is to coordinate the training and education of Regional Ambulance Service Field Staff and continuing education programs. Focusing on meeting National,State and local training requirements.
To include:
- Maintains accurate training records for Field Staff as required by the State EMS office and Regional Ambulance Service
- Schedule monthly training to cover the two year mandatory subject topics of both BLS and ALS providers
- Provide quality assurance for all training and instructors for Regional Ambulance Service
- Provide Field Staff skills verification
- Provide in-service training on new equipment / procedures
- Review of State and local protocols
- Gather statistical information as directed by the Chief Executive Administrator or Deputy Chief of Operations
- Maintain adequate equipment and resources for all training programs to include ACLS, PALS, CPR, AMLS, PHTLS
- Maintain inventory sheet of training equipment
- Obtain and maintain adequate amounts of equipment and resource materials for all training programs as approved by the Chief Executive Administrator
- Maintain and repair the training equipment as needed
- Provide written monthly training reports to the Deputy Chief of Operations
- Determine the need for additional training topics and courses
- Makes recommendations concerning training matters to the Chief Executive Administrator and/or Deputy Chief of Operations
This position works as an active field provider functioning as a team leader providing team-focused training, mentoring and development of new and current field providers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current Nationally Registered Advanced EMT and the ability to obtain a Vermont certification upon hire;
- Certification: ACLS, PALS, AHA, BLS CPR
- Education: High School or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
