The Hyatt Regency located in Long Island is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing relationships with existing clients, and developing strategic sales plans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel sales, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for rooms, events, and other hotel services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that drive sales.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to the Director of Sales.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring profitability and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Manage and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure the seamless execution of events and group bookings.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the hotel and build industry contacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices within the hospitality sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with local and regional market dynamics.
  • Experience with sales forecasting and budget management.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media strategies for sales.
