Resurrection has an opening for a Kids Ministry Location Director in our Ministry & Programs division! The position is full-time, exempt and is located at the Brookside Campus at 5144 Oak St. in KC,MO. Please see below for a full job description.
Job Summary
The Kids Ministry Location Director – Brookside is the location’s leader over all ministries and programs involving families and children (ages 6 weeks thru 5 th Grade) at the Brookside location. As member of the Kids Team, he or she will partner with the Kids Ministry Lead Director as well as the Location Kids Ministry Directors to create strategies that will engage children and families in a variety of weekly programs, ministries and events. He or she will work alongside the Location Pastor and the Location Director of Operations to build out and implement a calendar of engagement that will engage every family at the location. He or she will also be responsible for building a Kids Ministry team comprised of staff and volunteers that is committed to discipling and shepherding children and families toward our purpose of becoming deeply committed Christians.

Position-Specific
- Provide direction to ministries and programs for children and families through continual assessment and evaluation, holding ministry accountable to key metrics and benchmarks that not only track activity, but ultimately yield quantitative growth in engagement and participation.
- Develop or modify ministries and programs to meet the needs, fulfill the potential, and accomplish the vision of the Church of the Resurrection for our children and families.
- Provide spiritual leadership, looking for opportunities to minister to and disciple and encourage others to grow in Christ through one-on-one conversations and invitations to discipleship opportunities.
- Lead, mentor and provide direction to staff members who are direct reports. This includes ministry assessment and performance evaluation, goal setting, mentoring, spiritual encouragement, support, and conflict resolution.
- Build effective teams, identifying high-capacity leaders and equipping people for ministry.
- Recruit, manage, motivate, and equip volunteers.
- Collaborate with other areas of ministry to design or deliver programming.
- Oversee the direction of special events such as VBC, Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt or other conferences, meetings, seminars, or retreats.
- Prepare and deliver messages and teachings in class, group or conference settings.
- Counsel families and children regarding spiritual questions and concerns, directing them to further pastoral care when necessary.
- Maintain an active and visible presence in the community.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Proven Results in growing Children’s Ministry programs and implementing systems that engage children and families in spiritual formation and discipleship with clear entry points and pathways that lead them toward deep commitment.
