Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter's 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel's 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building's legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan - a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.
We are seeking a versatile and creative Copywriter and Creative Marketing Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. This dual role blends the art of compelling copywriting with oversight of content and creative management, ensuring a unified voice across all platforms for Lore Group in the Washington DC region.
Alongside Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for the following:
Hotel Marketing and Advertising
- Executes annual marketing plan to budget, in consultation with Director of Marketing, F&B and cluster marketing and ecommerce teams.
- Partners with Operations, Food & Beverage and Sales teams to execute promotions and campaigns to target in-house guests with promotions that drive incremental revenue to the hotel.
- Executes email newsletters and quarterly newspapers
- Maintains frequent, active engagement with eCommerce manager to verify alignment, pull-through, and 2-way communication about the status, performance evaluation, opportunities, and issues related to online programs and initiatives.
- Verifies all advertising for the hotel in digital channels is in alignment with brand voice.
Social Media Content Management
- Facilitates social media engagement
- Engages in proactive online reputation management by surfacing relevant guest comments (positive or negative) in social media channels and responds accordingly.
- Conceptualize and manage execution of content and social strategy across all touchpoints and platforms, owning key organic social programs end-to-end, including creative execution, publishing, testing, and reporting
- Develop strategic plans and content calendars to leverage organic social channels (including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn)
- Create strategic, high-quality video and photography of on-property moments for materials used in social media, marketing collateral and editorial content that communicate the spirit of the properties
Direct Marketing and Collateral Development
- Coordinates and executes Hotel and F&B printed materials.
- Controls quantity and inventory of all Hotel marketing collateral and verifies copies are filed in a comprehensive manner.
- Assists in the production of all property, F&B display, and temporary signage in hotel public areas.
- Promotes collection of competitors collateral and publicity on a monthly basis.
- Manages the execution of F&B direct marketing activities.
- Verifies all collateral is as per brand standard guidelines and in compliance with Brand Standard Audit (BSA).
- Manages photo shoots for seasonal or festive promotions in partnership with the cluster or area marketing team.
- Acts as central point of contact for regionally approved local photographers for food, amenity, and property imagery; coordinates with area or cluster marketing to verify all photography adheres to brand voice.
- Supports the co-ordination of photography for F&B advertising, collateral and public relations purposes between the hotel, advertising agency and the regional field marketing teams.
General
- Assists and manages the development, co-ordination and execution of all communications activities with a strong emphasis on property F&B promotions and campaigns.
- Supports communications duties and functions as deemed necessary.
- Assists in the liaison and execution of joint F&B promotions.
- Works with eCommerce to verify the Hotel's website and related websites are updated on a regular basis.
- Partners with Director of Marketing to create marketing plan aligned to hotel sales and revenue strategy.
- Provides training and marketing leadership and act as a marketing subject matter expert for GMs, Sales Leaders and Managers, and Revenue leaders.
- Keeps abreast of competition and its collateral, advertising, and marketing efforts and constantly evolving digital and marketing trends.
Position Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in copywriting and content management, preferably in hospitality/travel industry or related field.
- A passion for storytelling, an eye for detail, and the organizational skills to manage multiple projects
- Strong understanding of traditional and online marketing tactics and strategy.
- Familiarity with design software preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of website production with a firm grasp of website fundamentals.
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Experience with marketing, design, and sales tools
- Proven ability to write diverse formats and audiences, from technical content to creative campaigns.
- Strong knowledge in graphic design
Salary Range: $80-85K

Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
