In this role, you will handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions including the preparation of financial statements; and establishing and maintaining the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business. Based in La Puente, California, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity.Responsibilities- Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers- Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows- Maintaining historical records by filing documents- Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner- Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections- Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules- Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll- Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
