Sr. Staff Accountant

Salary: $35.00 to $40.00 hourly

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Staff Accountant in Irvine, California. The selected candidate will be a part of a dynamic team in the industry, executing a range of accounting tasks. The role involves full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, collections, and more, all within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
• Manage payroll processing using Gusto
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
• Generate journal entries as required
• Conduct month-end close activities
• Handle collections diligently to maintain positive cash flow
• Use NetSuite for various accounting tasks
• Produce mid-month flash and month-end reports
• Maintain up-to-date customer credit records.
  
  
  

Requirements

• The candidate must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably as a Senior Staff Accountant.
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• The applicant should have substantial experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Familiarity with the General Ledger and Journal Entries is required.
• The ability to manage Month End Close activities effectively is expected.
• The candidate should be well-versed in using NetSuite software for accounting purposes.
• Experience in Full Cycle Payroll management is necessary.
• The applicant must have proficiency in using Gusto payroll platform.
• The candidate should have experience in Collections and managing overdue accounts.
• The ability to handle Vendor Payment efficiently is a crucial requirement for this role.
