About Us :
Rocky Mount State Historic Site, a Tennessee Historic Site and 50-acre farm that served as the first capital of the Southwest Territory (1790–1792), brings history to life through immersive programs, costumed interpreters, and engaging events. We are seeking a passionate, organized individual to coordinate and expand our living history programming while serving as the primary point of contact for school groups visiting our historic site.
Position Overview :
The Living History Program Coordinator will be key to delivering exceptional educational and visitor experiences at Rocky Mount. This role includes managing school group visits from initial scheduling to on-site coordination, ensuring seamless and engaging experiences for students and teachers. The coordinator will also oversee costumed demonstrations, collaborating with interpreters to bring history to life with accuracy and enthusiasm. Additionally, they will assist in planning and executing special events such as Woolly Days and Harvest, helping to create memorable programs that connect visitors of all ages to the rich history of the early American frontier.
