Job Description: Industrial and Building Maintenance Lead Person
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial and Building Maintenance Lead Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of our facilities to ensure that all equipment, buildings, and systems function efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead, train, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff.
· Preventive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs for all machinery, equipment, buildings, and systems.
· Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform necessary repairs, and ensure minimal downtime of equipment and facilities.
· Facilities Management: Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of buildings, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, conveyors, rotating equipment and structural components.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
· Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of necessary items.
· Ability to operate mobile equipment in a warehouse environment.
· Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and repair logs.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks. Provide technical support and expertise as required.
· Emergency Response: Lead the response to maintenance emergencies and coordinate efforts to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead position.
· Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
· Leadership: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to motivate and develop a high-performing maintenance team.
· Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues efficiently.
· Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with team members, management, and external vendors professionally.
· Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Safety Awareness: Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety practices and regulations. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
Work Environment
The Industrial and Building Maintenance Lead Person will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, often in industrial or commercial facilities. The role may require working outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to respond to maintenance emergencies and perform scheduled maintenance tasks.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
