What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Management Partner position at Ruan Transportation Management Systems?

Consult with business leaders to identify training needs and determine appropriate learning solutions for team members at all levels. Build relationships and partner with outside vendors and internal subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver training and development programs using current best practices and technologies. Evaluate training effectiveness and implement modifications where applicable. Execute programs within budget.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are rquired functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Aid in the overall business strategies surrounding Ruan talent development. Consult with the business to identify learning and development gaps for job groups, teams, and individual team members.
  • Scope, design, develop, deliver, and/or coordinate training and development programs for various audiences that aid in developing Ruan talent, using adult learning principles and industry best practices. Manage program development from start to finish including cross-functional project teams, budget, promotion/communications, delivery and evaluation.
  • Provide expertise to determine specific needs and appropriate learning solutions for teams, individuals, and other targeted audiences.
  • Monitor and execute scheduling of training based on audience need, considering distance, classrooms, equipment, instructors, etc. Consult and assist others with training setup including scheduling, facility setup, audiovisual setup and employee notification. Manage all work in accordance to department budget.
  • Manage Ruan's learning management system and online development resources. Continually improve self-service development tools for team members. Serve as an organizational subject matter expert in best practice instructional techniques and technologies.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Requirements:
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
Course(s) of Study: Organizational Development/Adult Learning, Human Resources Management or related courses.
Experience: 3 - 5 years
Type of Experience: Background should include knowledge of adult learning and organizational development theory and practice; training needs analysis, design, delivery, and measurement. Must be experienced training facilitator both in-person and with online learning technologies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do.
  • Must be able to meet behavioral expectations and perform in alignment with our guiding principles: safety, people, customer, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Requires proven experience in a consultant/facilitation role, including demonstrated success presenting and communicating ideas to stakeholders. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, dynamic public speaking and facilitation/classroom management skills with the ability to effectively interact and facilitate learning with groups of all sizes using a variety of learning technologies. Requires knowledge of and ability to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs using adult learning theory application. Must be able to effectively build relationships with business leaders, understand business operations/strategic plans, and relate those to organizational learning and development strategies/programs. Ability to work with an entrepreneurial, team environment. Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-state organization preferred. Requires ability to balance dynamic workload and manage time appropriately. Requires experience as administrative user of a web-based learning management system and basic knowledge of current learning technologies. Demonstrated experience in project management preferred.
Physical Demands of the Job:
Team member must be able to twist, bend, pull, push and lift up to 25 pounds. May work in excess of 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, as required to perform essential functions. Team member will be required to stand, walk, sit, use fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Team member will present a neat, clean appearance of self, and use professional business etiquette and language. Must be able to operate office equipment; including telephone, copy/fax machine, personal computer, have reasonable accuracy and speed on ten key skills or/and keyboarding.
Requires occasional travel to remote business operations.
Environmental Demands of the Job:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
