What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Procedural Services position at Saint Francis Hospital?
- JOB SUMMARYTo provide optimal, safe and effective nursing care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with policies and procedures of the hospital, and professional nursing standards. Ensure optimal quality patient care. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the planning of patient care. Provides safe, compassionate quality care throughout the procedural visit including pre-op, intra-op and post-op care.
- EDUCATION
- Graduate of Registered Nursing program.
- Knowledge of surgical/procedure setting preferred.
- LICENSURE
- Current WV RN license.
- EXPERIENCE
- 1year previous hospital experience preferred in surgical setting.
- CERTIFICATION
- BCLS validation within 60 days of employment, with revalidation per AHA guidelines
- COMPUTER/TYPING/MATH SKILLS
- Must be or become familiar with the hospital computer system.
- Minimal typing skills required.
- JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess good oral communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate with all hospital contacts both on the telephone and directly.
