Description :
This position is for a Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse.
The role requires rotating shifts during the day, evening, and night, including one night of call and working every other weekend for 36 hours.
The unit is a 25-bed facility encompassing Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Care, operating rooms, and recovery rooms.
Candidates must have experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care, as well as the ability to circulate.
The clinician-to-patient ratio for Labor & Delivery is 1 : 2-3 for evaluations and 1 : 1 for active labor, magnesium infusion, or epidural.
For Postpartum, the ratio is 1 : 3-4.
The average daily census is between 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor cases.
Electronic Medical Records are managed using the EPIC system.
Floating to other units is not required.
Rotating shifts involve a mix of 7 am-7 pm, 11 am-11 pm, and 7 pm-7 am.
Required certifications include an active Massachusetts RN License, BLS, NRP, and EFM, with ACLS preferred.
