Description
Ibarra Elementary has a new grant funded In-School Resource Teacher vacancy.
Our school is located in the Crawford Cluster. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our school's literacy plan, with responsibilities including but not limited to : Increasing access to evidence-based literacy instruction. Providing professional development opportunities for staff. Using data-driven approaches to identify and support students in need. Offering direct, push-in supplemental small group reading support and tier 2 intervention. Collaborating closely with classroom teachers to ensure seamless continuity of instruction. Engaging in lesson modeling, co-planning, and co-teaching with our general education teachers. Building the capacity of school teams to identify and support all novice readers, including those displaying signs of dyslexia. Implementing differentiated reading strategies and culturally responsive teaching practices to support all students, including English language learners, students with disabilities, socioeconomically disadvantaged students, and gifted students.

Examples of Duties
Push in / pull out tier 2 reading intervention for below grade level readers, collect data to inform schoolwide professional learning, planning literacy focused professional learning sessions with Principal and Equity Team, providing coaching support for teachers focused on literacy instruction aligned
Minimum Qualifications
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
Applicant's credential must be attached to their application and registered with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the close of the posting.
Understanding of science of reading and associated instructional practices. Experience coaching and / or leading and developing professional learning for literacy instruction.
