Job Title: Business Development Manager – Data Center Solutions

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Data Center sector. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive B2B sales experience, full-cycle sales management, and a knack for delivering tailored power and temperature control solutions. You will be responsible for generating new leads, nurturing client relationships, and closing high-value deals in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Data Center industry.
  • Conduct proactive outreach, including cold calling and account management, to generate leads.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to deal closing and post-sale support.
  • Develop and execute an annual territory sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Maintain and update detailed records of all sales activities in a CRM system (Salesforce preferred).
  • Stay informed about industry trends and technologies, including power generators, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems, and air compressors.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of B2B sales experience with a strong record in full-cycle sales.
  • Proven ability to develop new accounts and manage complex sales processes in a corporate environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction and data center builds is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Flexibility to work remotely with up to 35% travel for client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in power generation and equipment rental markets.
  • A history of consistently meeting or exceeding a large sales quota.
  • Expertise in solutions-based selling that emphasizes customer-specific power and temperature control challenges.
