We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated Fleet Coordinator to join our Marne team.
The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company’s vehicle fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with regulations and used efficiently to support business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fleet maintenance, preventive service, and inventory management to ensure vehicle longevity and efficiency.
- Communicate with Distribution Center Managers to optimize fleet operations and minimize downtime.
- Review daily driver inspection sheets, addressing concerns and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage repair requests, track service records, and coordinate high-quality, timely equipment repairs.
- Approve repair invoices, dispute unnecessary charges, and ensure cost-effective maintenance.
- Coordinate vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs for scheduled and emergency repairs, including off-hours support when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with DOT inspection requirements, vehicle recalls, licensing, and registration.
- Purchase vehicles to expand and enhance the fleet, ensuring alignment with company growth and operational needs.
- Analyze and reduce fuel consumption costs, manage fleet-related expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Oversee accident and breakdown response, including reporting, insurance coordination, and claim processing.
- Track driver performance and fleet metrics using fleet management software, generating reports for analysis.
- Develop and implement routing strategies to improve efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
- Assist in the training of new drivers on fleet policies, safety protocols, and best operational practices.
- Implement and oversee safety programs, ensuring compliance with all transportation laws, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain updated registrations, permits, and insurance policies for all fleet vehicles
- Manage the Motive Fleet Driver App, continuously improving operational processes and driver engagement.
- Work closely with mechanics, vendors, and external service providers to streamline fleet operations.
- Travel as required to all Distribution Center locations to oversee fleet-related activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or transportation management is a plus.
- 1 -3 years of previous fleet coordination or transportation management experience.
- Prior experience as an auto service technician is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, compliance regulations, and safety Strong communication and customer service skills for internal and external interactions.
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other transportation regulations.
- Experience handling accident reports, insurance claims, and risk management.
- Budgeting and cost-control experience for fleet-related expenses.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a chauffeur’s license and DOT Physical certification.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
