What are the responsibilities and job description for the Help Desk Support Technician position at Science History Institute?
The Science History Institute is recruiting for a full-time Help Desk Support Technician. This is a newly created position reporting to the Director of End User Experience. The Help Desk Support Technician will provide support to in-person and remote staff, including the configuration and deployment of computers, setting up of profiles, and onboarding of new staff members.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in a desktop support role, including training end users
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, including 365, Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server 2022
- Experience with Windows Active Directory domains
- Exceptional customer service-oriented skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal staff members and external vendors
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects and to prioritize work to meet deadlines
