Job Title: Development & Fundraising Data Coordinator, Second Harvest Food Bank of ECI

Status: Full Time, non-exempt

Place in the Organization:

  • Report to the Director of Fundraising and Development in all aspects of donor data.

Purpose:

  • The Development Coordinator is responsible for the accurate maintenance, management, and reporting of donor data to support fundraising and engagement efforts at Second Harvest Food Bank of ECI. This role involves updating, analyzing, and extracting key insights from donor information, ensuring data integrity, and providing regular reports to guide decision-making within the organization.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist Director of Fundraising and Development in matters relating to the development of Second Harvest Food Bank fundraising goals and objectives.
  • Maintain and update donor records daily in eTapestry software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Process and acknowledge all incoming donations, including online, mailed, and in-person contributions.
  • Implement and monitor data entry protocols to maintain consistency and accuracy across records.
  • Conduct regular data audits and clean-up activities to improve data quality.
  • Develop, prepare, and distribute routine reports on donor activity, fundraising progress, and campaign performance for internal use.
  • Conduct donor trend analysis and offer insights to support relationship-building strategies and increase donor engagement.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Assistant and Director of Accounting and HR and to reconcile gift records and ensure alignment between systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve database processes and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Assist with data imports and exports.
  • Collaborate with direct mail vendor and ensure data aligns with donor lists for fundraising mailings.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of direct mail efforts, providing data-driven insights.
  • Review and verify donor data used in direct mail campaigns.

  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Fundraising and Development
  • The ability to use discretion and independent judgment in time management to meet our objectives

Requirements:

  • MS Office Suite proficient-heavy on Excel knowledge
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing CRMs, preferably in a nonprofit setting
  • Ability to work on the computer for 4 hours at a time
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to bend and lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work with diverse personality types

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
