Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services and appointments.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and insurance verification.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate care.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support the front office team in daily operations to enhance workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical administrative support or front office roles within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and electronic health records is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of vital signs is beneficial but not required.
