The Housing Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of housing programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing support to residents.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
-Work with clients to assess their housing needs and help them find suitable housing. This includes screening applications, coordinating with landlords, and arranging viewings.
-Provide case management support to clients, helping them understand their housing options, navigate any challenges they might face in securing or maintaining housing, and connecting them with other support services (financial assistance, job training, etc.).
- Negotiate leases and agreements with tenants and service providers.
-Collaborate with social service agencies to connect residents with additional resources and support services.
-Build relationships with community partners, housing authorities, landlords, and local agencies to expand housing options and resources for clients.
*EXPERIENCE*
-Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, landlords, government agencies, and service providers.
-Problem Solving Skills: Help clients resolve housing-related issues and navigate complex situations.
-Empathy and Patience: Working with vulnerable populations requires compassion and a strong understanding of their challenges.
