As the Clinical Director of Outpatient Services, you will provide both administrative and clinical oversight for all outpatient locations within Serenity Lane’s system of care, with primary responsibility for our Portland office. You will serve as a key member of the leadership team, collaborating with others to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all outpatient treatment activities with Regional Directors, focusing on the Portland Clinic.
- Lead the implementation of a mental health intern program for outpatient locations, including serving as the liaison to schools, securing agreements, and selecting applicants.
- Coordinate and supervise mental health interns from various colleges across the state.
- Provide clinical supervision and training to mental health interns on billing practices and documentation requirements for compliance.
- Ensure the quality of care meets all applicable standards.
- Monitor programs and staff for quality and consistency of services.
- Ensure clinics meet productivity and financial goals.
- Coordinate services with other Serenity Lane programs and offices.
- Manage the financial operations of outpatient services efficiently.
- Support Regional Directors in recruiting, hiring, and monitoring staff performance, including conducting annual performance reviews.
- Formulate and update policies and procedures as needed.
- Participate in workshops, retreats, and staffing meetings aligned with Serenity Lane's mission.
- Train and educate staff as needed to improve performance and care quality.
- Lead growth initiatives for the outpatient program service line.
- Ensure documentation compliance and uniformity across outpatient locations.
- Oversee clinical supervision and staff development in all outpatient offices, particularly for substance use disorder (SUD) services.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations regarding referrals and services.
- Oversee adherence to business and billing practices.
- Design and implement new clinical programs within the outpatient service line.
- Occasionally travel to other outpatient locations to provide oversight, support, and business development.
Additional Duties:
- Use data-driven decision-making, pulling reports to guide decisions.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan.
- Oversee staff adherence to OHP eligibility card rules and regulations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Previous experience supervising both interns and staff.
- Proven ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration.
- Experience using data to make informed decisions.
- Prior experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Experience in a substance use disorder treatment facility preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DSM-V and ASAM Criteria.
Licensure/Certification:
- Required: LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in good standing.
- Preferred: SUD (Substance Use Disorder) Certification, CADC-I, CADC-II.
- At least 2 years of post-licensure experience to supervise clinical staff.
