Outside Sales

Central Hydraulics , a Singer Industrial Company, is searching for an Outside Sales in Tampa, FL. Singer Industrial is one of America’s largest Industrial Distributors with a North American footprint of approximately 100 locations with over 1,400 employees. We serve a diverse market portfolio including petrochemical, oil/gas, food & beverage, OE equipment, marine, MRO, construction, rental supply, power generation and mining. We do this with a robust line of fluid power, hose & fittings, belts, seals & gaskets, pneumatic and automation products, and services.

Job Summary

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication and negotiation skills who can work independently and as part of a team .

Duties/Responsibilities

• Utilize the 5 stages of the sales process methodology to prospect, qualify, propose product/service plan, facilitate positive decisions, gain new accounts, and expand current accounts within the specified territory.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales & financial goals established by the company.
• Travel throughout assigned territory to call on assigned and prospective customers to solicit orders and talk with customers in person or by phone. Some overnight travel may be required.
• Maintain and Utilize Key Tools: Pipeline, Call Reporting, Open Order Reports, etc.
• Display and demonstrate products that meet the customer’s application needs using catalog and marketing materials.
• Work with Inside Sales Team to develop quotes and prepare sales contracts for new orders.
• Estimate date of delivery based on information gathered from Inside Sales Team, operational management, current demand on production, and delivery schedules.
• Provide recommendations of inventory levels based upon new business onboarded.
• Coordinate customer training.
• Become a trusted expert in fluid conveying and power transmission applications.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports.
  
  

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to prioritize and problem solve.
• Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
• Proven experience in outside sales or similar role.
• Ability to effectively negotiate without sacrificing quality.
• Take ownership of responsibilities and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Inquisitive, ability to learn on the job, and desire to grow with the company.
• Ability to work in ambiguity as well as in a collaborative environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
