Qualifications for Operating an Autobrake
1. Experience with Autobrake Machines: Proven hands-on experience operating and
programming Autobrake equipment in a fabrication environment.
2. Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings,
schematics, and blueprints.
3. Knowledge of Sheet Metal Properties: Understanding the characteristics and
tolerances of various sheet metal materials, including thickness, hardness, and bend
allowances.
4. Precision and Attention to Detail: Exceptional skill in achieving precise
measurements and angles to meet design specifications.
5. Mechanical Aptitude: Proficiency in troubleshooting and adjusting machine settings
to ensure optimal performance.
6. Quality Control Skills: Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers,
micrometers, and gauges to verify product accuracy.
7. Mathematical Skills: Strong math skills to calculate bend deductions, angles, and
other technical requirements.
8. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and
work in a physically demanding environment.
9. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety practices and protocols to
ensure a safe working environment.
