This is an on-site position with possible local site visits, has a dayshift schedule of 6:00am-2:30pm Mon-Thu, 6:00am-12:00pm on Fri, and starts at $30.17/hr.

The Substance Use Disorder Professional 1 provides chemical dependency counseling and case management services to individuals in the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). They maintain OTP individual files in compliance with County, State and Federal regulations, assist in the operation of the Opioid Treatment Program Dispensing Clinic, including a possible Saturday rotation, and also coordinate services with OTP individuals who are currently residing in Spokane County Detention.
Some Essential Functions Include:
- Provides individual and group counseling services to Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) individuals and their families, including education on substance use disorders, relapse prevention, blood borne pathogens, Tuberculosis, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, nicotine disorder, and the impact of substance use during pregnancy, and family planning.
- Provides case management services to OTP individuals (to include, but not limited to housing, transportation, CPS, legal concerns, childcare, and other services as needed).
- Supports OTP individuals in creating Individual Service Plans based on individual needs and assessments.
- Attends team meetings, and any community-based collaborative meetings to support individual recovery efforts, as well as network with community providers to provide knowledge and education in order to destigmatize opioid use disorder (OUD).

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Alcohol/Drug studies, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field.
- Two years of previous assessment and/or counseling experience in the substance abuse field or related program field.
- Active certification to practice as a Substance Use Disorder Professional in the State of Washington.
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license and current automobile insurance and have access to a vehicle.
An equivalent combination of education, experience and professional certification may be considered provided the individual’s background demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position.
