We are currently seeking a Digital Design Operations (D2O) Manager to join our expanding Technology group at our Minneapolis, MN office. This dynamic role combines people management and technical expertise, working collaboratively within our larger technology team to drive and support the growth of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business units to ensure all CADD technology (AutoDesk, Bentley, ProjectWise and integrated applications) meets capability and availability requirements. The activity includes deep understanding of project and software workflows and evaluating and proposing solutions for current and future initiatives.
- Provide operational support
- Define service levels to both incidents and request for service and deliver to those levels.
- Supported applications are tested and approved before deployed to production.
- Lead the problem solving of large and difficult issues.
- Escalation point for CADD and ProjectWise applications.
- Ensure new project setups meet customer expectations.
- Define process and procedures for support.
- Lead the development of the technology roadmap for CADD applications including evaluating features and standards, consististent with SRF business unit goals, accomplished through partnering and ongoing coordination activities.
- Provide leadership to the D2O team:
- Develop growth plans with staff
- Define objectives and measure results for each member
- Manage the workload which includes tickets, projects, enhancement requests and application testing.
- Ensure crossfunctional training occurs to reduce single point of failure risk
- Resolve any personnel conflicts
- Develop and manage training program for CADD applications
- Create, maintain and deliver new designer on-boarding program for CADD applications
- Partner with business units and their SMEs to develop and manage content, including creating a process for creation and on-going changes and overall review of the technology to deliver training.
- Document training and provide training materials as reference to users
- Manage relationships with current and potential third-party providers (AutoDesk,Bentley, etc)
- Hold providers accountable for performance results.
- Partner to ensure SRF requirements are met.
- Escalate issues as necessary.
- Ensure SRF usage aligns with products consumed.
- Lead cross-functional initatives related to CADD
- Lead the partnership with IT department to ensure performance and security of CADD systems are met.
- Develop D2O Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), measure and hold team accountable.
- Additonal duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Autodesk and Bentley products
- Knowledge of local Department of Transportation standards (MN, ND, and WI states).
- Ability to lead company wide initatives.
- Ability to build and foster collaborative relationships with the business teams.
- Ability to build a fully engaged, high performance team.
- Deep troubleshooting skills and the ability to lead others through resolution of complex issues.
- Knowledge of additional add-ins and applications or open to learning a variety of tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with file sharing, document management systems, learning managmeent systems, and collaboration tools.
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills within a team environment.
- Be able to multi-task in a team environment.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Be highly organized and efficient.
- Guide work and promote goals to maintain high standards of performance.
- Established ability to coordinate with engineering staff to develop production packages.
- Possess a strong foundation of skills and demonstrates consistent commitment to quality/creativity in their work.
- Be self-motivated to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environment.
- Exercise initiative and independent judgement in the solution of work problems.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000
Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
