We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Finisher to join our team. The Cabinet Finisher plays a crucial role in completing the final touches on cabinets, including sanding, varnishing, painting, and sealing, to ensure they are ready for installation. This position requires the use of various hand and power tools to achieve high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform final finishing processes on cabinets, including sanding, staining, painting, and sealing.
Work from sketches or CAD drawings to accurately assemble and finish cabinets.
Utilize various tools such as power table saws, crosscut saws, miter saws, planers, table sanders, and power drills safely.
Maintain strict adherence to safety policies, reporting any injuries or near misses to the Plant Manager immediately.
Collaborate with team members to ensure quality control and assist when other work centers require support.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail throughout the custom cabinet building phases.
Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, exhibiting a positive and courteous demeanor.
Maintain professionalism in dress attire and focus on the job, especially in the presence of customers.
Perform general math calculations and understand fractional values to ensure accurate measurements during assembly.
Maintain punctuality and reliability in attendance, being prepared to begin shifts on time and work the full duration unless in an emergency.
Remain flexible with daily working hours and willing to work overtime as requested by the Plant Manager or supervisor.
Refrain from using electronic devices during work hours unless in case of an emergency.
Requirements:
Valid Tennessee driver’s license.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to work well in a team environment and assist colleagues as needed.
Knowledge of safety practices for manual and power equipment in a production shop.
Capability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace; zero tolerance for controlled substances.
