We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Director of Nursing to join our team. Duties
- Directs the clinical practice of all hospice nurses, ensuring adherence to established standards of care, regulatory requirements, and hospice philosophy.
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients in their homes, focusing on pain management and symptom control.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide education and support to patients' families regarding care options and resources available.
- Manage shifts effectively, ensuring adequate staffing and continuity of care.
- Lead nursing staff by providing guidance, support, and mentorship in best practices for hospice care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with established protocols and systems.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1-2 years Hospice experience.
- Valid nursing license with experience in home health or hospice care preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in documentation review processes and nursing administration.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
