Receptionist/Office Assistant
Office is open Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Hiring for 25hrs/week; Hours are somewhat flexible.
Sick Days, Personal Days
Off for Federal Holidays and Holy Days
Qualifications:
Must complete church provided background check and "Virtus: Protecting God's Children"
Knowledge and experience of Parish Data Systems (PDS) or strong database skills.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, skills for electronic communication: Email, Fax.
Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Willingness to embrace a vision and to work collaboratively.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma, College Degree preferred.
Comfortable working in a Church environment.
Responsibilities:
Greeting and referring visitors, receiving and transferring phone calls, taking messages.
Performs routine receptionist/office assistant functions such as sorting and distributing mail, data entry, word processing, assembling materials, maintenance of files, photocopying, duplicating, and providing a variety of other clerical services as needed.
Maintains sacramental records, parish registration and other parish filing systems.
Maintains facility calendar and accommodates requests for reserving space and making changes.
Oversees inventory and ordering of office supplies and maintenance of office machines.
Prepare and produce weekly bulletin, when necessary.
Performs other duties to meet the needs of the parish.
