Job Description
- Teach critical skills to students on a one-on-one basis using behavior analysis (training provided)
- Provide support during social interactions between peers
- Teach a variety of skills, depending on the needs of our clients. For example: letter ID, shape ID, matching,
- personal information questions, body language, sarcasm, social skills, etc.
- Collect and graph data
- Communicate clearly with parents using both written and verbal formats
- Learn to manage challenging behavior
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Volunteer or work experience with children
- Detail oriented
- Openness to feedback
- Dependable/reliable/professional
- Must enjoy and care about our clients
- Must be comfortable with challenging/aggressive behaviors
- 1-year commitment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- CPR/First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain
- Reliable transportation required
Position Benefits and Details:
- Prior experience is not required
- Training is provided with close, ongoing supervision
- Guaranteed hours
- After initial training period, pay raises are awarded for sufficient progress as early as 2 to 3 months after hire
