Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment to provide a safe and efficient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including electrical repairs, mechanical troubleshooting, lawn, and plumbing work.
  • Execute residential painting projects to enhance the aesthetics of the facility.
  • Operate and maintain logic controllers and other automated systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate repair schedules to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Utilize welding techniques for structural repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, plumbing, and general repair work.
  • Experience in residential painting techniques is preferred.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and automated systems is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
