The position oversees 12 employees within the Environmental Compliance Office, the Stewardship Program, and the Landscape Planning Program. The position directly supervises three positions, two of whom are also supervisors. These programs each fulfill specific objectives that enable NMSLO to responsibly manage and protect state trust lands. This position looks holistically at the existing and proposed activities on state trust lands and ensures policies, procedures, and other mechanisms are in place to review potential impacts, understand existing negative impacts, and mitigate those impacts for the best outcome from an ecological and environmental perspective.
