What you will do:
- Serve as Compliance and Training Officer for the Division of Mineral Resources Management, which has regulatory authority over mining and mine safety in Ohio and operates both a federal and state reclamation program.
- Oversee performance monitoring of subrecipients and contractors for compliance with federal grant rules.
- Evaluate division operations to ensure compliance with federal regulations, state laws and rules and identify potential compliance risks.
- Participate in state and federal audits, track findings and work with management team to update processes.
- Review and update policies, procedures and procedure directives; overseas the process for enacting, amending, or rescinding administrative rules.
- Coordinate training programs for division staff, grant subrecipients and contractors.
- The program area for this position is Mineral Resources Compliance.
- Starting hourly pay of $30.96/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 8 years of service, with an end salary of $44.11/hr.

- OR completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration AND 2 years of training or 2 years of experience in supervisory, administrative and/or managerial position.
- OR completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file AND 2 years of training or 2 years of experience in supervisory, administrative and/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research and/or policy/procedure development.
