Job Duties:
- The Administrative Specialist II provides administrative support to Child Care Licensing Central Office to include management of office systems and practices; trains all other administrative support for other regional offices.
- Provides direct administrative support to the Director of Child Care Licensing including composing and editing correspondences, maintaining schedules; and by acting as liaison with Program Managers and regional licensing offices; schedules and staffs various committees; develops database for tracking and monitoring all denial and revocation letters; processes monies and transmittal forms sent to Finance for payment of Central Registry forms completed when necessary.
- Handles in state and out of state travel for Fire Marshal and Licensing Director as necessary; attends provider meetings as it relates to Denials and Revocations with possible translation services for Non-English speaking provider (Spanish) for providers; and provides orientation translation for providers as necessary. Transcribe Child Care Licensing Advisory minutes.
- Processes Central Registry information for FFN providers with SC Scholarships and License-Exempt providers; mails letters to FFN and License-Exempt providers and applicants for Central Registry results; develops and mails correspondences related to denials, revocations, expanding capacities, Administrative reconsiderations; Acts as liaison with regional supervisors, CACFP and other entities as related to FCCH providers.
- Provides general oversight to Child Care Licensing Central Office administration by reviewing operational systems, work flow processes, reviewing and editing reports and letters produced by other staff; provides general oversight of physical plant by coordinating phone services, technology improvements, inventory and custodial functions in conjunction with DSS State Office Management.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Bilingual skills highly preferred.
