We're on the hunt for sharp, curious, and extremely online Social Media Marketing Interns to help us keep Status at the center of internet culture.

What is Status?

Status is a viral, fandom-fueled Twitter simulator game that blends internet clout, roleplay, and social chaos.

We’re building a unique app experience where users can post as fictional characters, climb the ranks of internet fame, and get into fake beef, all while navigating a timeline. Think Bitlife Twitter fanfic, all in one.

As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you’ll be our eyes and ears on TikTok and other social platforms. Every day, you’ll spot viral sounds, influencer drama, micro-trends, pop culture moments, and breaking news and send them straight to us. Your finds will help our creative team make timely, viral content that keeps Status in the conversation.

Perfect for students, content lovers, pop culture junkies, or anyone obsessed with knowing what’s next before it’s everywhere.

Responsibilities:

• Watch your FYP and track daily trends, emerging sounds, memes, trending video formats, viral videos, and creator content
• Spot breaking news and current events that can be adapted into Status content
• Submit a quick daily write-up of your observations (1-2 paragraphs) to trends@statusai.com
• Help Status stay trend-savvy, funny, and relevant

Qualifications:

• Working towards a degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related fields
• Extremely online, especially on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X
• Able to recognize viral potential before it fully takes off
• Bonus if you’re already in niche fandom spaces, meme pages, or chronically online communities
• Self-motivated and consistent — you’ll be sending updates daily
