JOB SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Representative/Driver Recruiter will be the initial contact and first impression for all applicants interested in our CDL training school, with the goal of converting prospects into hires. You will be fielding a heavy load of 60 inbound and outbound calls daily to help applicants gather all that is needed to qualify for admission, following up with candidates regarding their application status, and scheduling new hires for orientation and training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Building and maintaining relationships with potential candidates and confirming level of interest throughout the hiring process
  • Pre-qualifying applications and interviewing potential candidates according to minimum hiring requirements of Stevens Transport and DOT
  • Processing and verifying work histories
  • Ensuring constant communication with applicants throughout the recruiting life cycle, including informing them of application status, requesting additional information, verifying questionable results, advising them of approval or denial, etc.
  • Scheduling and confirming new hires for orientation and training
  • Generating regular and ad-hoc reports as needed by management


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma
  • Strong computer and typing skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and email
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
  • Ability to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers and senior level management
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Capable of thriving as a team player but also driven by autonomy
  • Sales aptitude
