Essential Functions and Duties:
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, wellness initiatives, and retirement plans, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Develop and implement wellness programs that promote physical, mental, and financial well-being to enhance team member engagement and productivity.
- Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, policy updates, and communication with employees regarding benefits options and eligibility.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and HIPAA.
- Serve as a key point of contact for benefit-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to team members and leadership.
- Partner with HR and leadership to integrate wellness initiatives into company culture and align with overall organizational goals.
- Analyze benefits utilization and trends, providing recommendations for enhancements or cost-saving measures.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by developing initiatives that enhance team member experience, engagement, and retention.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive work environment.
- Collaborate with external vendors and brokers to manage benefits programs and negotiate competitive offerings.
- Plan and execute culture-building activities, including team engagement events, recognition programs, and wellness challenges.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging benefits programs, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in benefits administration, wellness program development, or employee engagement.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ERISA compliance.
- Experience in managing benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.
- Proven ability to develop and implement workplace wellness initiatives and culture programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess benefits utilization trends and recommend strategic enhancements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for educating employees on benefits and engagement programs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR, leadership, and external partners to align wellness and culture initiatives with company goals.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee benefits and health-related information.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Workday, benefits administration platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Primarily works in an office environment with frequent use of computers and HR systems.
- Regular interaction with employees, leadership, and external benefits vendors.
- Occasional travel to company locations for benefits presentations, wellness events, or team member engagement initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
