Position Summary
Storee Construction is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support field teams by providing accurate and timely job cost purchase orders. This role involves vendor coordination, equipment rental management, and maintaining inventory control while adhering to budget and project schedule requirements. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and negotiation skills, with a strong customer service focus.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Adhere to purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
- Verify purchase requisitions, recommend alternatives, and forward available inventory for delivery.
- Process approved purchase order requests, including verifying specifications, prices, and vendor recommendations.
- Manage equipment rental process, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely scheduling.
- Maintain accurate job cost records within accounting and project management systems.
- Verify receipt of purchased items, resolving shipment discrepancies with vendors.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing-related experience or equivalent knowledge and skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Microsoft Project and SharePoint is preferred.
- Strong vendor relationship management, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain priorities in a dynamic environment.
