We're Hiring: Solar Repair Technician!
Do you have the skill set to work in a fast-paced, professional environment and have a solar energy background? We are looking to expand our team with a Solar Repair Technician!
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a solar technician/repair.
- At least 1 years’ experience as a solar installer.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety requirement and regulations.
- Experience with roof and ground mount systems is preferred.
- Very strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Able to work an adjusting schedule and respond to emergencies.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices for residential and commercial solar PV systems.
- Be proficient in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues related to solar installations and battery backup systems.
- Identify solutions to resolve complex technical challenges, including any electrical and/or battery backup system errors.
- Remove and replace existing systems as needed.
- Coordinate with local city/state inspectors to satisfy building requirements and expectations on projects.
- Work with the operations team and homeowners to fulfill any necessary system upgrade/repairs to support our solar equipment.
- Provide regular job status updates, complete necessary paperwork, and document projects with photos.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked service vehicle.
- Remain in compliance with the current National Electric Code
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety
- Knowledge of the use of power tools, saws, threaders, wire pulling equipment, knockout punches, any tools associated with the electrical industry.
- Being able to do Site Surveys, read plan sets, and take progress photos are paramount in this position.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Understanding of roof construction and installation techniques.
