Position Summary:
The Membership Coordinator is responsible for managing and growing the membership program at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum. This role is vital in achieving an annual membership revenue goal of $300,000. The Membership Coordinator will develop and implement strategies to acquire, retain, and engage members, ensuring a strong and sustainable membership base that supports the Museum’s mission. This position requires a customer-service-oriented professional who excels in relationship building, marketing, and program development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
60% Membership Growth & Retention
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive membership sales and renewals to achieve the annual revenue goal.
- Manage membership acquisition campaigns, retention efforts, and engagement strategies.
- Track and analyze membership trends to refine marketing efforts and improve conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote membership through digital, print, and social media channels.
- Coordinate on-site and community outreach efforts to recruit new members.
30% Member Engagement & Stewardship
- Serve as the primary point of contact for museum members, addressing inquiries, concerns, and benefits fulfillment.
- Plan and execute exclusive member events and special programs to enhance engagement and retention.
- Develop and maintain communication strategies, including email newsletters, renewal reminders, and appreciation campaigns.
- Ensure membership benefits are properly managed and communicated to members.
- Work with museum leadership to develop strategies that enhance the overall member experience.
10% Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate membership records, process applications, and oversee renewal procedures.
- Generate reports on membership statistics, revenue performance, and engagement metrics.
- Develop and monitor the membership budget in coordination with the Director of Development.
- Ensure compliance with museum policies regarding data management and donor relations.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in membership, sales, fundraising, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and membership growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in CRM/membership databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
