What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist - Operations position at Sun Automation?
The position is focused on meeting regulatory requirements, administering benefits, updating and maintaining employee records, processing disability claims, employee recognition programs, and a variety of other generalist tasks within the Human Resources (HR) function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilizing ADP, maintains personnel records or other employee information that is accurate, complete, and fulfills legal requirements.
- Works with ADP representatives to program/problem solve system issues.
- Documents and processes changes including hires, terminations/separations, salary actions, benefit transactions, and other status changes.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws or regulations.
- Processes STD, LTD, and Workers Compensation claims.
- Participates in benefits administration to include annual renewal, open enrollment, carrier billing and COBRA.
- Prepares compliance reporting, including EEO, ACA.
- Administers FMLA compliance, including state mandated leave.
- Assists/advises employees and leaders to resolve issues.
- Maintains employee badge and access control systems.
- Updates and communicates policy changes.
- Administers the employee service awards program and other employee celebration events.
- Responds to and participates in unemployment claims.
- Generates and updates visual communications content on the company intranet and monitors.
- May be involved in other activities such as compensation planning, talent acquisition, and training and development.
- Conducts external benchmarking across multiple HR disciplines.
- Maintains and edits HR work instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field.
- At least five years of experience in an HR Operations role.
- Experience with Human Resources information systems required - preferably ADP.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Experience with benefits administration required.
- Experience or exposure to other HR functions such as compensation, organizational development, talent acquisition, and employee relations helpful.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, be detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Ability to display sound judgement, logic and decision-making skills.
