Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Safety Analyst (Full-time) to join our growing team! The Safety Analyst is responsible for assisting various members within the Safety department by processing reports, gathering information, developing reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating events and participating in special projects as assigned. The Safety Analyst will assist management in the development and implementation of SMS data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize processes and systems used to determine compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, as well as accepted industry best practices.

The duties of a Safety Analyst may include any of the following:

- Review, process and analyze and assess all reports received through the safety reporting system
- Analyze technical data from hazards, events, and occurrences, and identify, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Track, analyze, and interpret data outputs from the Company's safety programs
- Assist in the administration of the corporate databases for the purpose of improved airline safety
- Assist the Safety Team in any necessary investigations
- Provide technical expertise to Management regarding data models, database design development, and data mining
- Prepare applicable reports and communicate safety related information to managers and line personnel in support of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Assist in the development, implementation, and management of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS)
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the hazard identification and safety risk assessment schemes of the Company
- Assist with Company investigations
- Acts as safety auditor for the Internal Evaluation Program, Safety Investigations, and high risk areas of operations
- Prepare research studies concerning aviation safety trends
- Enhances Safety Promotion by acting as the ambassador of the SMS
- Other duties, as assigned
- Conducts all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines
Minimum Qualifications:
- Intermediate/moderate level MS Excel skills
- Previous experience with data & reporting
- Self starter and can successfully work independently with little direction
- Excellent PC skills with MS Word, and PowerPoint experience
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA badge
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of professional experience in an analyst role
- Expert level MS Excel
- Previous experience with reporting tools like Power BI
- Previous Aviation experience
